A Mexican agricultural worker in Northeast Colorado experiences injustices from the managers in the fields, which he explains is because the managers have papers and the workers do not. He describes the insecurity of the pandemic and fear of getting sick.

Buenas tardes;yo soy un hombre mexicano que trabajó en el los files de colorado del noroeste de colorado en el condado de Fort Morgan, el trabajar en el campo es difícil y muy pesado y pagan muy poco son trabajos que requieren de todo el dia se empieza a trabajar muy temprano y se termina muy tarde nos dan muy poco tiempo para comer, en el trabajo del campo hay muchas injusticias muchas de las veces no son los patrones si no los encargados de los trabajadores son los culpables de de las injusticias hacia los trabajadores a pesar de que son inmigrantes como uno pero ya porque ellos tienen sus papeles en regla se sienten superior a uno, mi vida ahora en la pandemia ha sido muy difícil y me imagino que para todos por qué andas trabajando con miedo a contagiarse en cualquier momento por que es mucha gente la que trabaja en el el campo y no tienen las medidas de seguridad por que ahi lo que les interesa es sacar el trabajo del día ,si yo tuviera la oportunidad de hablar con los legisladores les diría que el trabajo del campo es muy pesado y por ese motivo deberían de pagar mejor en la agricultura y que tengamos los mismos derechos que las personas que tienen sus papeles todos trabajamos para lo mismo para salir adelante y tengamos un mejor futuro.

Good afternoon; I am a Mexican man who works in the Colorado fields of northwest Colorado in Fort Morgan county, working in the field is difficult and very heavy and they pay very little, it is a job that requires everything. They start working very early and finish very late they give us very little time to eat, in the field there are many injustices many of the times it is not the owners but the managers are to blame for the injustices towards the workers, even though they are immigrants like us but because they have their papers in order they feel superior to us. My life now in the pandemic has been very difficult and I imagine that for everyone because you working with fear of being infected at any moment because many people work in the field and do not have the security measures because they are only interested in is getting the day's work done, if I had the opportunity to speak with the legislators I would tell them that the work in the fields is very heavy and for that reason they should pay better in agriculture and that we have the same rights as people who have their papers, we all work for the same reason, to get ahead and have a better future.
