A school counselor from Alamosa County reached out to a Projject Protect Promotora for food bags after an increase in Covid-19 cases forced their school to temporarily close.
One promotora shared how they have been able to collaborate with a food pantry in Powers County in order to provide supplies for both people who already utilized the pantry and the surrounding agricultural community.
A promotora was called down to a local hospital to act as a translator after there was a horrible accident involving multiple Guatemalan immigrants, one of which was a minor.
