In late January, promotora Lucia Gaspar received an email from a school counselor in Alamosa County. The counselor was asking if it would be possible to get some food bags. After working with the school staff, the promotoras were able to deliver 9 bags to the school, which were then distributed to students whose families were considered homeless. Later, the counselor emailed Lucia again, and she expressed gratitude towards the promotora network which had helped provide food for 47 people. She also shared that the families were thankful for the help that the San Luis Valley team provided.
