[Promotora] Buenas tardes

[Trabajador] Buenas tardes

[Promotora] ¿Puedo hacer unas preguntas? Es sobre los agricultores.

[Trabajadora] Sí, está bien.

00:07.750 --> 00:34.000

00:36.000 --> 01:00.000

01:03.000 --> 01:35.000

01:37.000 --> 01:52.000

01:55.700 --> 02:14.000

02:15.000 --> 02:43.000

02:43.000 --> 02:56.000

[Trabajadora] En anonimato.

[Promotora] Muy bien. Pues muchas gracias.

[Trabajadora] Gracias.

[Trabajadora] Igualmente, gracias.

[Promotora] Good afternoon

[Worker] Good afternoon

[Promotora] Can I ask a few questions? It's about farmers.

[Worker] Yes, that's fine.

00:07.750 --> 00:34.000

[Promotora] It's fine. Can you tell me a little bit about what it's like to work in Colorado as an Agricultural Worker?

[Worker] Well, working here in Colorado as a farmer is a bit difficult for me. Because it is a very heavy job, and the salary is very low.

[Promotora] Please describe your experience to me as … working on Colorado farms.

00:36.000 --> 01:00.000

[Worker] Well my experience is, that it is difficult. We work long hours all day in the sun and working - leaving our family. The sun is very strong, and we work all day.

[Promotora] What do you think causes these difficulties? What do you think causes these difficulties?

01:03.000 --> 01:35.000

[Worker] What I think causes these difficulties, I think that everything is because of the farmers. That they could, I don't know, pay more attention to their workers.

[Promotora] What's so difficult about working with Colorado farmers on Colorado farms?

[Worker] The difficult thing is that sometimes, they do not value or take into account the work that one does as a farmer.

01:37.000 --> 01:52.000

[Promotora] Why do you work here in Colorado?

[Worker] I work here because … to improve myself, for a better life.

[Promotora] What brings you here?

01:55.700 --> 02:14.000

[Worker] Well the same. To improve myself, a better life – better life for me and my children

[Promotora] Ok, if you could have 60 seconds to speak directly to state legislators, what would you say to them?

02:15.000 --> 02:43.000

[Worker] Ah, well, what I would tell you is that … that they pay more attention to all agricultural workeres. That they value their work, that they have the same opportunities they have in other jobs and that there is equality.

[Promotora] Do you want to remain anonymous, or do you want us to give your name?

02:43.000 --> 02:56.000

[Worker] In anonymity.

[Promotora] Very good. So, thank you very much.

[Worker] Thanks.

[Promotora] These are all the questions I was going to ask you. You will not appear with your name anywhere, thank you very much and have a nice day.

[Worker] Same for you, thanks.
