Promotora ayuda a un trabajador agrícola con lesiones en las manos

Al trabajar en un trabajo que requiere mucho trabajo físico, hay el riesgo que pueda tener un accidente un trabajador. El trabajador joven que tenía entre 19 a 25 años, tuvo un accidente en el cual una vaca lo tumbo y piso su mano y operaron su mano por emergencia. El joven tenía “mucho dolor y aunque el doctor le dijo que ya debe de regresar a trabajar él no puede mover su mano y con las bajas temperaturas el dolor se agudiza” dijo Soraya. El trabajador le pidió a su patrón unos días más o que lo pusieran a realizar otro trabajo y el patrón lo negó. Tampoco le han pagado y el trabajador solicita ayuda. Soraya y otros han observado que la clínica en la cual el joven fue, en todos los casos de accidentes de trabajo no les proporcionan toda la información en español, y también lo vieron en este caso con el joven. En este caso el joven ni sabía que era lo que le habían operado. Supieron que él tuvo una fractura aguda de muñeca y reconstrucción del túnel carpiano. Le ayudaron al joven revisando los documentos que tenía y efectivamente se lo pudieron traducir, por el tipo de daño el doctor dijo que podría regresar a trabajar, pero sin mover la mano lastimada y eso no se lo informaron correctamente. También la promotora y otros llamaron al departamento de compensación por el accidente e informaron a Colorado LS. El joven decía, “muchas gracias, yo no quiero perder mi trabajo solo que me duele mucho y le pedí que me diera unos días más para descansar por que aún no puedo trabajar recogiendo la popo cuando hace mucho frio. No aguanto el dolor. Esperemos que me paguen y comprendan que uno no es flojo, solo que así no se pude.”

Este trabajador ha tenido dificultades en recibiendo la información correcta del médico y también su patrón no lo ha dejado descansar para recuperarse que es un gran problema. Las promotoras han ayudado a este joven con esta injusticia y han podido explicarle algunas cosas. Es importante tener a personas como las promotoras que ayudan a trabajadores con traducción y también cuando se enfrentan con injusticias porque ellos tal vez no sepan sus derechos ni lo que pueden hacer cuando tienen una experiencia injusticia.

The young man told them “Thank you so much, I can’t lose my job, but my hand hurts a lot and I asked him to give me a few more days of rest because I still cannot work picking up the poop when it is very cold.
