Chico Veterinario

Esta historia se trata de un joven veterinario de Torreón, Chihuahua México. El joven apenas tenía ejerciendo su carrera por dos años. El año pasado fue traído a Estados Unidos, primero a Texas luego a Colorado. Contratado para trabajar en una engorda de ganado. Le prometieron muchas cosas como, pago muy alto, casa, y beneficios. El acepto, pensando que como él tenía experiencia con animales iba a ser relacionable a lo que él estaba acostumbrado a hacer, pero nunca imagino lo difícil y pesado que era trabajar en una engorda de ganado, además de las largas horas de trabajo. El ahora hace $3,000 dólares al mes eso es mucho menos de lo que el merece y sea justo por las horas que él trabaja. Aun así, ese sueldo es mucho más de lo que el estaba a costumbrado a recibir en su país de origen. Con ese pequeño sueldo él tiene que cubrir todos sus gastos, como comida, renta que es muy costosa en este país, y su vestimenta. Lo que le sobra es para su familia en México. Aunque a él no le cumplieron nada de lo que le prometieron, el no quiere quejarse. Él es una persona muy humilde y con miedo a perder su empleo. Él quiere su trabajo y que lo vuelvan a traer en un futuro. Despues de hacer sus impuestos solamente $2,500 al mes el no se queja ya que sabe que si regresa a México no va a poder apoyar a su familia financiablemente y estar bien económicamente en general. Sus sueños y metas son mas grandes que esta injusticia para que el ponga alguna queja. Él dice que seguirá adelante porque sabe que esto es temporal al final gratificante.

This story is about a young veterinarian from Torreón, Chihuahua México. This young man had only been practicing his career for two years. Last year he was brought to the United States. First to Texas, then to Colorado. Contracted to work on a cattle feedlot. He was promised many things like very high pay, housing and benefits. 

He accepted, thinking that since he had experience working with animals it would be relatable to what he was used to doing, but he never imaged how difficult and heavy it was to work in a cattle factory-feedlot, on top of long work hours. Today he makes $3,000 a month. It is less than what he deserves and what is fair for the long hours he works. Even so, this income is a lot more than what he was used to making in his country of origin. 

What that small salary he needs to cover all his expenses like food, rent, which is high in this country, and clothing. What he has left over is for his family in Mexico. Even though they did not deliver on any of what they promised him, he does not want to file a complaint. He is a very humble person and with a fear of losing his job. He wants his job and to be brought back in the future. After taxes only $2,500 a month (sic) he doesn’t complain since he knows that if he returns to Mexico he will not be able to support his family financially and be financially sound in general. 

His dreams and goals are bigger than this injustice for him to raise a complaint about it. He says that he will move forward because he knows that this is temporary, in the end rewarding.
