An interview with a cattle worker in Colorado

[Trabajador] Pues, creo que, pues son muchas horas de trabajo y como yo trabajo con ganado, yo
tengo que trabajar todos los días, este malo o cualquier otra cosa. Sí o sí, tengo un compromiso
con mi familia. Tengo que estar trabajando de todas maneras.

[Promotora] Y, ¿qué crees que causa estas dificultades?
[Trabajador] Creo que es, ahorita es más bien, lo del trabajo que lo necesitamos, el trabajo. Y como pagan muy poco, necesitamos trabajar poquito más para sostener la familia.

[Trabajador] Pues, por primero es por mi familia. Para sostener a mi familia y porque aquí está mi
familia también aparte y la otra cosa es, pues que necesito el trabajo para sostener a mi familia.

estatales, ¿qué les dirías?
[Trabajador] Creo que fuera a decirles yo que necesitaríamos más personas para que se hiciera
el trabajo que es y que nos pudieran pagar más y como los días que está uno enfermo. Que nos
pudieran pagar y nos pagaran como overtime y claro también algún tipo de permiso para poder
estar legalmente, estar trabajando como es debido.
