Hola buena tardes, yo soy una persona Inmigrante de México tengo viviendo en este país alrededor de 6 años pero en este estado tengo 5 años de haber llegado desde que llegue a los Estados Unidos de América he trabajado en el campo, gracias a ello hemos podido salir adelante mi esposa y yo, y mi familia que vive en México pues de vez en cuando los ayudamos con algo pues la situación allá está un poco difícil.

Siempre he trabajado con los mismos patrones, me gusta mi trabajo y es lo que se hacer pero eso no quiere decir que no sea pesado es bien sabido por todos que los trabajos de campo son de lo más difícil pues sufrimos los diferentes climas y aunque llueve o nieve el trabajo no espera.

En esta pandemia que hemos pasado yo he andado muy preocupado, pues porque aunque donde trabajamos nos dieron platicas de como cuidarnos somos muchas personas la que trabajamos en el rancho y es difícil que todos nos cuidemos igual pues no todos somos conscientes por lo que estamos pasando, y no podemos dejar de trabajar después de que vamos a comer pues nosotros no podemos pedir desempleo como las personas que sí tienen sus papeles así que a nosotros solo nos queda hacer nuestras oraciones para salir y regresar con bien a casa, pues como le digo no podemos darnos el lujo de quedarnos.
Si yo estoy en un país que no es el mío es solo por una oportunidad de una vida mejor solo eso, no vengo a pedirle nada a nadie, lo único que quiero es trabajar y poder vivir en paz.
No pido nada del otro mundo lamentablemente aquí, no somos tratados como personas. En muchas partes solo nos ven como un objeto para hacer algo pues como saben que tenemos necesidad ellos dicen tienen que aguantarse…. En mi trabajo yo he pedido varias veces aumento de sueldo pues me pagan el sueldo minimo y mi patrón lo que dice claro te puedes quedar más horas extras para que saques mas dinero pero no me pagan over time todas mis horas la cantidad que haga son pagadas a una cantidad fija es ahí donde digo que no fuera un ciudadano al que le hagan eso porque a ellos si les pagan como dice la ley.
Es por eso que si yo tuviera un minuto para hablar con los legisladores del estado les diría,
POR FAVOR SEAN NUESTRAS VOCES ANTE EL CONGRESO PIDAN PARA NOSOTROS UN TRATO MÁS HUMANO Y JUSTO SOMOS PERSONAS DE BIEN QUE SOLO QUEREMOS UN FUTURO MEJOR Y UNA MEJOR VIDA, NOSOTROS TAMBIÉN TENEMOS DERECHO A TENER TODAS LAS OPORTUNIDADES QUE LAS PERSONAS QUE SÍ TIENEN PAPELES, PUES SOMOS EL SOPORTE DEL SISTEMA ALIMENTARIO.

Por último quiero permanecer en el anonimato, pero si quería compartir mi sentir ante esta situación que pasamos millones de personas día a día.

Hello good afternoon, I am an Immigrant from Mexico I have lived in this country about 6 years but in this state I have 5 years of having arrived. Since I arrived in the United States of America I have worked in the countryside, thanks to this we have been able to get ahead my wife and I, and my family living in Mexico because from time to time we help them with something because the situation there is a little difficult.

I have always worked with the same patterns, I like my work and what there is to do but that does not mean that it is not heavy work, it is well known by all that fieldwork is the hardest thing because we suffer the different climates and although it rains or snows the work does not wait.

In this pandemic, I have been very concerned, because although where we work we were told how to take care of ourselves we are many people who work on the ranch and it is difficult for all of us to take care of ourselves the same because not all of us are aware of what we are going through, and we cannot stop working because we cannot ask for unemployment like the people who do have their citizenship so all we have left is to pray that we return home safely, because as I say we cannot afford to stay in. If I’m in a country that’s not mine, it’s just for a chance of a better life just that, I’m not here to ask anyone for anything, all I want is to work and be able to live in peace.

I don’t ask for anything out of this world but unfortunately here, we’re not treated like people. In many places they only see us as an object to do something because as they know that we have need they say that we have to put up with it.... In my work I have asked several times for a pay increase because I am paid the minimum salary and my employer says you can stay more overtime for you to make more money but does not pay me overtime, the amount of hours I do are paid at a fixed amount, this is where I say that if I was a citizen they would not do that because they would pay them as the law says.

That’s why if I had a minute to talk to state legislators I’d tell them,
“PLEASE BE OUR VOICES BEFORE CONGRESS ASK FOR MORE HUMANE AND FAIR TREATMENT FOR US WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE WHO ONLY WANT A BETTER FUTURE AND A BETTER LIFE, WE TOO HAVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE ALL THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT PEOPLE WHO DO HAVE PAPERS, BECAUSE WE ARE THE SUPPORT OF THE FOOD SYSTEM.”

Finally I want to remain anonymous, but if I wanted to share my feelings about this situation that millions of people go through every day.
